Testimonials
I got this as a gift for someone who lost someone special in their life. They were entirely grateful for it and could not stop thanking me. I am happy one way or another, this book is helping another man navigate grief. We need more of this. The black community definitely needs this and I'm glad it will come along way for them and hopefully they can apply what they learn to the real world. Highly recommend it if you know a man (black, white, yellow, purple...) struggling with grief, get this for them and some flowers. Men need flowers too. Thank you for such a great book.

First I am a black woman and I Love Black Men. I First saw this journal on Instagram. There is a page that was promoting it. it was a black men's yoga page. I saw how colorful the journal was and I knew that it was something special. I then went on to watch the interview with the author and he talked about creating the journal and so on... sooo I then after met a Black man who had gone through so much in his life that I saw that his behaviors and his self worth were not up to his own potential. (as a black woman in love I wanted the best for him) So I got him this journal. needless to say he was very appreciative at first then once the questions got tough like three pages in he stopped using it all together. said he was stuck. I continued to encourage the journal and therapy for him. (short background he had spent 10 yrs of his life in prison, and like myself had a drug addicted mother growing up as a child) so I knew all to well that he had some healing to do. because therapy in the black community is like a huge no no.. and unspoken of...because we don't want people in our business...right?? More recently he has taken on the challenge of using this journal to heal. And I'm hoping that it will open him up more to the healing process and to healing some of those old wounds and becoming more aware of himself and realizing that his dreams and his life are his own and what he can make it. that he is not limited by his experiences in life that his past is not his future. also that he needs to self reflect because his traumas show in ways that effect other people in his life and not only is he hurting them he is hurting himself. I am grateful for the author because the vibe I get from this book is a god one. I just know that it will help to change lives of black men all over the world if we can get them to open the book and utilize the content held within. ( i may come back with an update once I speak more with my partner and get his thoughts on how him using this journal has impacted his life and how he sees himself. (in the meantime I'm thinking of what other black men I can gift this journal to in my life)

I think this a must for every young man, particular young black and brown men, unable to express or cope with whatever traumas and dramas they face in their lives. I think it is a great outlet for those who might be suppressing some anger, resentment, etc., in their lives to those that just need a safe space to vent them out. I think the author does an excellent job of asking those questions we don't think or afraid to ask ourselves. I believe once we do, we'll actually find ourselves.

I love everything about this journal, I purchased this for my son and I am excited for him. This is a beautiful expression of love and caring for the mental health of black men. It is such a testament to the change of culture and the journey we are on of normalizing self love and self care. It is so important to me that the message that healing is accessible and this writing prompted journal is a part of what is right in this world. I can't wait to give these out as gifts for all the black men in my life as I am moved to. Such good stuff.....go get this journal for the black men in your life.
