Certification Requirements 

 

  • Complete 70 Yoga Classes with a certified yoga teacher and/or yoga studio of your choice. (You're invited to explore a membership at our primary home studio in Atlanta's West End, Southwest Atlanta Yoga)
  • Complete 1 Vipassana Course (3, 5, or 10-day retreat). Learn more at https://www.dhamma.org/en-US/index The nearest Vipassana center to Atlanta is located in Jesup, Georgia.
  • Complete All Assessments in the Black Boys OM 200-Hour YTT Training Manual.
  • Submit Journal Entries (or video/audio logs) for each of your 70 yoga classes and Vipassana Course 
  • Provide Written Reflections for all required reading material.
  • Schedule Your In-Person Practicum upon completion of your 70 yoga classes and Vipassana course. In-Person Practicum is located exclusively at Southwest Atlanta Yoga

Course Cost : $900 USD w/ $300 Deposit due at Registration

Special Note : The course officially begins when you complete your waiver and receive your digital Black Boys OM 200-Hour YTT Manual on your requested start date.


You may receive a 40% refund on course fees up until the start of the course. Once the course begins, all sales are final, and no refunds will be issued. Refunds will be processed and paid back within 60 days of receiving a  refund request. To request a refund, please contact our support team at [email protected]  prior to the course start date, providing your registration details and reason for the request. 




Certification will be issued upon completion of full tuition payment.

We empower Black boys and men through culturally grounded, mind-body healing practices, including yoga, meditation, somatic movement, and trauma-informed wellness arts, delivered by Black male practitioners and leaders. Through our School of Yoga, we train community-centered, equity-driven yoga teachers who integrate healing justice, mental health, and Black wellness into their craft. Together, we nurture self-discovery, resilience, purpose, and collective transformation across individuals, families, and communities.
